Adjustable oil-filled coil-over shock absorbers and four-wheel independent suspension sit on top of scale Fifteen52 Turbomac HD wheels and General Tire GT Grabber tires for great looks, handling and grip. A factory finished body is used with a General Tire livery is included to give this truck killer looks.

I bought to attempt to turn into a truck to race, AE does not 4×4 short course kit at the moment. Truck was definitely fast enough to race on 2s. Like others said the servo is very slow. That I just changed. It does jump and land well. There are 2 faults that are making this a 4 star instead of 5. First the wheels nuts were left loose from the factory and that ruined one wheel. Second I serviced the diffs after 1 test run to put in fluids that will be better for a slippery rutted track and I found sand had gotten into the front gear box. I decided to try to seal up the lower skids to the box with some Shoe Goo and hope that does the trick. 1 customer found this review helpful. I’ve been searching for something that my six year old can use. After SCX24’s, Mini B and, Mojave Groms, this has been hands down the best of the bunch, but….
Out of the box, the servo made an unhappy noise at full lock to the left. I turned down the DR and it stopped. After two batteries though, the servo was toast. If AE treats us right, I’ll come back and update to five stars.
I picked this over the Slash, b/c of the build quality and the driveline appeared to be better protected from little rocks.
I played with it for a few minutes and it was GREAT! Dialed back to 35-40% and my son loves it! He was driving the best I’ve ever seen on one of our local tracks. He was doing so well that the owner said he thought he was ready to race. Easy to drive and so far, six year old tough and approved! The truck drives smooth and fast on 2s power, very controllable for a beginner like myself. On 3s it really flies. I’ve had some pretty big crashes as I’m just goofing around in a park or parking lots (tough hits on curbs and trees both). No issues yet either with the body or any components from the abuse I’ve given it (only 5 packs worth so far). Given the competitive entry level type price and the fun factor I’m quite happy. It has been a beast and perfect for me to learn with. So far I replaced the receiver/transmitter, shock oil, put some pro-line gladiators on it and upgraded the servo. After several race weekends, I’ve only broken a turnbuckle, all of my friends are impressed with how much newbie abuse this thing has survived. Great deal for the price.
