Description
The Tamiya Plasma Edge II TT-02B 4WD Off Road Buggy Kit is an exciting shaft-driven 4WD R/C buggy with a stylish polycarbonate body and rear wing parts. Marking stickers add to the racy mood of the model, as do fluorescent yellow star dish wheels and white CVA oil shocks. The TT-02B is a dedicated off-road buggy chassis that offers hassle-free assembly and maintenance, as well as superb controllability.
TT-02 BThe shaft-driven 4WD TT-02B buggy chassis employs a skid-shaped frame. Its suspension setup uses 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with long arms, plus white CVA oil shock units, giving the car assured handling, while left/right suspension arms and uprights are identical to facilitate hassle-free assembly. Front/rear gearboxes include 4-bevel differentials for smooth operation, and are sealed to ensure that dust can’t get inside. The top can be removed simply by loosening a few screws, making maintenance a breeze. 4 different gear ratios can be applied with the use of 3 separately-sold types of pinion gear, allowing you to match the characteristics of your car setup to the conditions at any given time. Of course, this off-road chassis also includes receiver case and motor cover to protect them from dirt and debris thrown up off of the track.

Steve Clemens Verified Owner Wednesday, Oct 1 2025 (4 weeks ago) Tamiya Plasma Edge II 1/10 4WD Off Road Buggy Kit (TT-02B) Is been a long time since I built a car from a kit. I bought this just to kind of get my hand back in. There’s a reason that it costs what it does. The plastic is heavy and brittle but the fit s fine. The Phillips screws are almost impossible to use. I bought the hex screw set after messing with it for a few hours. Every part ,needs to have the molding sanded off. I used a dremel tool for that. I had very low expectations for this car and they were met. I couldn’t figure out the servo connections. I got the motor to run and 3 of the 4 wheels turned. I probably made a mistake when I put one of the hubs together. I quit there. I couldn’t get the tires on the rims. I’m old and my hands are weak but still I think I should have been able to do it. I have no problems with Pro-Line wheels and tires. I never expected to do anything except just to be able to follow directions so I Could build a car that I wanted. It’s sitting in the box in my shop. I got what I wanted. I gave it 3 stars for the Phillips screws and having to sand and scrape each part. Timmy Klatte Saturday, Jul 6 2024 (about a year ago) Tamiya Plasma Edge II 1/10 4WD Off Road Buggy Kit (TT-02B) I got this buggy a few years ago to start my collection of 4wd buggies. It’s a nice one for the price. Good traction on dirt-and it jumps well too. Use bearings and a motor upgrade and you can’t go wrong. The suspension could use a bit more travel-but I simply put it over smaller, more realistic ramps and it’s fine. If you want to really fly your buggy then this one won’t do the job. It’s still a cool 4wd buggy though. john robinson Verified Owner Wednesday, Aug 30 2023 (about 2 years ago) Tamiya Plasma Edge II 1/10 4WD Off Road Buggy Kit (TT-02B) Very easy build but still a lot of fun! Great quality as usual from Tamiya. This is my second buggy build. Will definitely be building more buggies View all reviews
