Description
The Tamiya 1/10 Lotus Europa Special 2WD On-Road Kit recreates the classic Lotus that debuted in 1966. In 1972, the Europa Special series was released with 1.6-liter inline-4 engine (big valve twin-cam engine) capable of 126hp which was the largest maximum output among the Lotus Europa series. Tamiya has faithfully recreated this in 1/10 scale with every detail taken into account.
M-06 Chassis:The M-06 chassis features a Rear-Mounted Motor, Rear-Drive setup and features a longitudinally-mounted battery pack, with R/C radio gear positioned on either side for optimum balance and low center of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is equipped with 60D radial tires at the front and 60D super grip tires at the rear. In addition, a 3-piece steering linkage offers nimble handling response.

Robert Popham Verified Owner Wednesday, Apr 23 2025 (6 months ago) Tamiya 1/10 Lotus Europa Special 2WD On-Road Kit (M-06 Chassis) My daughter picked this kit for her first time build. Before this she had only changed batteries. Tamiya’s instructions passed with flying colors. The only help she needed was about the adjustable chassis length because there was nothing about the body assembly in the manual. Only the box indicated length “M”. As Tamiya would have it, worked first time after the build. I was concerned it didn’t have oil shocks and the suspension was stiff but it doesn’t matter on concrete. It will do burn outs, doughnuts, drifts, and 180s easily with a 5200 battery and seems stable. Haven’t rolled it yet. With speeds of about 10 to 15 MPH it’s a great car for beginners. Like all classic Tamiya kits it builds easy and is nicely done. Very realistic body here and take it from me, I own a real 1972 Lotus Europa. That fact makes this a very special kit for me.
