These products are not only sold in Japan but also exported in vast quantities to the United States, Europe, South East Asia, and to many other parts of the world. The standard of excellence achieved by Tamiya is regarded as among the very finest in the world of model hobbies. This finely detailed plastic model kit requires assembly and painting. Item is brand new and in its original factory packaging. Listing images are stock pictures provided by the manufacturer or the distributor. The Type 2 floatplane fighter, otherwise known as the A6M2-N (Allied reporting name “Rufe”), was created to provide reconnaissance and defense for remote Japanese outposts such as the Aleutian Islands in WWII. It was essentially a normal A6M2 Zero which had its landing gear replaced with floats. This kit accurately depicts this unique aircraft and features plenty of engine and cockpit detail. The canopy may be assembled in either open or closed position and parts for the beaching trolley are also included. The kit also comes with two pilot figures and seven marking options.
