E-flite A-10 Thunderbolt II with Twin 64mm Electric Ducted Fans

The E-flite A-10 Thunderbolt II is a Twin 64mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) Bind-N-Fly Basic Electric Jet Airplane that is modeled after the Iconic U.S. Air Force aircraft. While this jet will not go “Brrr”, it will give you the distinctive air presence that only the A-10 can provide. This model uses two 64mm EDF fans giving it an extremely wide performance envelope and speeds over 100mph. With the equipped AS3X and SAFE, the features and functions allow this to be a great first, or next, EDF jet.
E-flite has put many great features in place to make this the best handling “Warthog” possible. The scale details include molded-in panel lines and hatches, gun detail, removable ordnances, scale pilot, decals and more. For performance, two 6S capable 64mm fans are paired with 40-amp Smart ESC’s. This power system delivers better performance and longer flight times than the 4S-compatible power systems used in similar class models. A Safe receiver equipped with AS3X allows for pitch and bank angle limits, automatic self-leveling and easy switch assignment.

Samuel Krieger Verified Owner Sunday, Jun 19 2022 (about 3 years ago) E-flite A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF BNF Basic Electric Jet Airplane Wow! This is so well engineered. It is able to take a bouncy landing without damage (not enough elevator throw to flair on maiden flight). It does take off and land fast as typical of EDF planes. Slowing down to land is excellent for landing with flaps deployed. It has gobs of thrust for high speed or vertical performance. I enjoy it throttled back to 50% for brisk speeds and extending flight time. I flew into the sun and safe took over until I could reorient myself. You gain confidence fast with this EDF, because it flies so well. This was my first EDF and by my third flight I was settled down and conferrable.
