The French Light Tank H39 is recreated in this 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit, marking the fourth French subject in the military miniature series. Originally developed as an improved version of the H35, the H39 entered service in 1939 featuring enhanced cast hull and turret components, a 120hp engine, and an L/33 37mm gun. It saw action during the German occupation of Norway in 1940 and, following France’s surrender, many units were upgraded and redeployed by German forces. This kit measures 138mm in length and 56mm in width, with a realistically detailed turret designed for ease of assembly using slide molding. The tracks feature one-piece straight sections with a natural upper sag, while the model also includes a depiction of the trench tail for overcoming obstacles. Variant-specific parts such as cupola, visors, engine grille, idler wheels, suspension bogies, and antenna base allow builders to choose between French and German specifications. Figures include a full standing French tank crewman and a German tank commander torso posed scanning from the cupola, while metal chains are provided for authentic French Army detail. The kit offers two marking options: one for a French Army vehicle in 1940 and another for a German Army tank in 1945, accompanied by a full-color painting guide to aid in camouflage finishes.
